The bark is softened in river water, naturally dyed in black swamp mud, sun dried, and hand twisted into strong fibre. Using age old weaving techniques passed down through generations, women artisans of Kambot Village in East Sepik, Papua New Guinea, transform these fibres into striking, durable bilums each one a
