Adenostoma fasciculatum Vining/Climbing/Trailing to only about 4ft tallThis important evergreen chaparral component, native from the Siskiyou mountains south to northern Baja California, has green, fine textured foliage, resembling a compact Erica. Tiny but numerous white flowers produce seed pods aging to mahogany. To 5 6 ft tall over time in lean soil with little to no summer water once established. Can be pruned hard in summer to maintain a lower profile. Frost hardy to 0F, USDA zone 7 and probably into zone 6.
