Desert Spires Clouds a huge glacier clings toI first came across these Boojum trees while living out of my blue bus in Baja, moving slowly through the desert and learning its pace. Scattered across the landscape, their vertical forms rise quietly from the ground beneath shifting clouds and distant mountains. Found only in Baja California and parts of Sonora, these trees feel shaped by time and isolation more than anything else, subtle at first, then impossible to forget once youve seen them.
